"Gone On His Way"

My Brother's Gone On His Way

He climbing the stairs to a special place

All the troubles on His mind

Are forgotten in time

He has no more pain

He worries no more of earthly things

My Brother is at peace

He as happy as He can be

He may not be here by My side

But I know He's the sudden sense of warmth I feel inside

He’s Gone On His Way

He’s gone to a better place

With every day that past

I know My Brother is at peace at last

All that He went through

Was worth it, His dreams have come true

Jesus knew what was best

That's why He laid My Brother to rest

His Angels came down and took His hand

They led Him home to the Promised Land

I lift My eyes to the sky

Because I know His wings are spread wide

He's there flying free and high

I know if I need Him

 He’ll be there right by My side

My Brother’s Gone On His Way

He's gone to a better place

He's walked through the Pearly Gates

He has a permanent smile on  His face

He's with Jesus strong and safe

“Mama’s Got Her Wings”

Mama’s done gone and Got Her Wings

She sees the Beauty in everything

She’s taken the final walk home

Mama’s Got Her Wings -She’s finally home

Mama took care of Me

She loved, held and scolded Me

She always spoke Her mind

Even when I didn’t want to hear it sometimes

Mama would watch out for Me

Because Mama believed in Me

Sometimes it seemed

As if She was the only one who understood My Dreams

She always took the time out for Me

She’s the foundation of all the good that’s in Me

She could just “Look” didn’t have to speak

That was the Respect She instilled in Me

I know in My heart deep down- She’ll always be around

My Mama’s Got Her Wings

She’s where you realize all your dreams

She’s flying high and free

No more Arthritic Knees

She has no more aching back

I so Happy about that

I can’t help but shed some tears

Because Mama’s no longer “Here”

But I know when I‘m in need

She’ll be right there watching over Me

My Mama’s Got Her Wings

She sees the Beauty in everything

She has Peace of Mind, Heart and Soul

Because Mama’s with Jesus… She’s Gone Home
