“We”

We is the definition of you and me

We must learn to stand side by side

I have hope - I have pride

You have love - you have drive

I have a load on My back-I need You by My side to help carry it

You have set your site far and wide - Mine are localized

If you and I became we

We would always have stability

I have future dreams - You dream of current things

I live from day to day -You live from year to year

I help you learn to live-You teach me how to give

I live on the streets -You can help house me

If you and I come together

We can handle all the stormy weather

I can give the strength you need

You can give the love all-caring

You and me are not just he and she

I'm calling on the entire " Black Family"

Take that child that needs a hug

And give him all the love

Help the man that has fallen down

Lift him up off that ground

Take that person who has no drive

Give them the strength - teach them to survive

We as a country - We as a people

We as mothers - We as fathers

We as sisters - We as brothers

If only "We" learned the meaning of "We"

There would always be “Unity”
